Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan has made no secret of his desire to earn a place on India’s national team despite stiff competition. His performances in all three formats of cricket, particularly Indian T20 League competition, have done wonders to strengthen his chances of selection. Chennai were under pressure in the powerplay as Mumbai’s openers wreaked havoc, until Ruturaj Gaikwad introduced Matheesha Pathirana into their ranks and immediately secured two wickets to put Chennai back in charge of proceedings.

Pathirana was one of the few bowlers who gave Mumbai a serious challenge with an economical spell of 4 for 28 in four overs. While initially nervous, MS Dhoni told him to keep calm and stay focused – adding that he doesn’t mind getting hit; his main focus lies on execution of his bowling action.

Suryakumar Yadav

At first, Jadhav made headlines for Mumbai Indians during the 2015 IPL, contributing to their triumphant title win.
