When Iqbal bowled an offside delivery fuller than expected Chetan Sharma tried to hit it over third man but instead the ball floated down towards deep midwicket where Kalam Aleen took a brilliant catch and claimed what became Bangladesh’s final wicket and victory by such an overwhelming margin.
India captain Mohamed Amaan won the toss and elected to bowl first, supported by Yudhajit Guha, Chetan Sharma and Hardik Raj. Their decision paid off as Bangladesh were dismissed for 198 runs after 49 overs with fast bowler Guha taking two wickets while Chetan Sharma and Hardik Raj shared four-wicket stands to help dismiss their opposition – Iqbal Hossain Emon being the highest scorer with 26 runs scored against India’s bowling attack. India were hoping to chase 199 runs but were ultimately defeated by disciplined Bangladesh bowling performances that gave them no chance in winning their chase of winning their final against them as they attempted to chase it to win their final, losing the final without losing to their formidable bowling performance that had them outshon from before their opening batsmen took turns bowling so efficiently against their counterparts; losing by bowlers Chetan Sharma, Yudhajit Guha, Chetan Sharma and Hardik Raj helping take two wickets between them before Iqbal Hossain Emon top scored 26 before India lost in pursuit of chase for final 199 while Bangladesh bowled so well that India were left behind from before commencing their bowlers; India lost before their own disciplined bowlers.
