The USA men’s national cricket team will face Bangladesh at Prairie View Cricket Complex in Houston, Texas in a three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series that serves as vital preparation for co-hosting of the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup by both countries. The squad contains both experienced players and new talent;
Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bowl first, restricting USA to just 104/9 after 20 overs. Andries Gous and Shayan Jahangir gave USA an encouraging start before Mustafizur Rahman struck with his 6/10 spell to decimate their middle order. Shakib Al Hasan also played his part for Bangladesh by taking his 700th international wicket.
Bangladesh quickly established control in their chase as opener Tanzid Hasan and Soumya Sarkar both scored quick-fire fifties early.
But Corey Anderson and Harmeet Singh managed to slow their run-chase by scoring 34 off 24 balls each, followed by 33 from 17 balls from Harmeet Singh – but Tanzid and Soumya came together with an important late partnership of 62 runs to secure Bangladesh a comfortable win.

ODI (One-Day International) cricket matches have been standardised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Only full member nations of the ICC may play these one-day matches, which follow standard one-day rules and usually involve two teams taking turns batting and bowling; first team to reach their target wins the match!
ODI matches provide great entertainment value as well as being widely utilized within schools as a competition format.
The United States men’s national cricket team will face Bangladesh at Prairie View Cricket Complex in Houston, Texas in a three-match T20I series beginning March 6th. Bangladesh may only have been playing Test cricket since 1997, yet they have made remarkable strides during their first decade as an independent nation. Under guidance of coaches such as Jamie Siddons and Shane Jurgensen, Bangladesh have established themselves as an ODI force – featuring all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan as well as one of international cricket’s most reliable openers, Tamim Iqbal.

Bangladesh A’s tour to South Africa and Zimbabwe in October/November 2014 included two first-class and four List A matches each, captained by Tushar Imran for one match, then Shuvagata Hom in another. Mushfiqur Rahim scored his maiden first-class century in one match and two in another; Enamul Haque and Shahadat Hossain each took three wickets as Bangladesh A won all six matches played.
