1. T20I – Guwahati
Guwahati’s ACA Stadium will host an international cricket spectacle as it hosts the inaugural T20I of India-South Africa series on January 25.

India and South Africa’s rivalry has been highly competitive since 1991 when South Africa made their return to international cricket following their apartheid isolation.
Their recent 2025 tour captured this rivalry perfectly: South Africa won both Test series 3-0 but India edged them out 2-1 for ODI series victory. Both squads boast strengths that create close and challenging contests between them.

2. T20I – New Chandigarh
India and South Africa will play the second T20I of their series 19 years after the initial match was held in Cuttack. Both sides will hope to seize an edge in this year’s series; New Chandigarh recently hosted two women’s ODIs as well. It will be broadcast live by Star Sports Network with JioHotstar providing digital streaming coverage.
The Men in Blue hold an edge in this format, winning 18 out of 31 matches played so far. They will look to close out this series and prepare themselves for any conditions ahead of the World Cup starting two months from now. South Africa, for their part, will aim to bounce back after their shock defeat in Cuttack.
Indian bowlers were inspired by their performance against South Africa in the opening match, restricting them to just 74 runs in 20 overs despite taking two wickets each in this decisive victory by an overwhelming margin of 118 runs. Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel all took two wickets each as hosts India won convincingly by an overwhelming margin.
Indian batsmen were somewhat careless, yet still made their chase seem relatively straightforward. With Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube back on board they should improve significantly in Mullanpur.
Shubman Gill will also be available, giving the hosts more options at the top of their batting order. He was outstanding in their previous game, winning man-of-the-match honors.
South African batsmen will need to be more wary this time around as India’s spinners – particularly Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakravarthy who ripped through South Africa’s lower middle order in the first game – present a greater danger.
Quinton de Kock, Corbin Bosch and Aiden Markram will need to step up if they hope to give visitors any hope of making an unlikely comeback.
3. T20I – Lucknow
India-South Africa rivalry is one of the fiercest in world cricket, and their 2025 series perfectly showcased this. South Africa defeated India with a Test series win at Kolkata and Guwahati before India claimed the ODI series 2-1 with T20I series still tied at 1-1 going into final match day.
Fans were thoroughly engaged throughout this fascinating series which kept fans guessing right until final ball was bowled! The rivalry produced high-quality cricket that kept fans gripped until last ball had been bowled!
India’s depth in both batting and bowling have been key in their recent victories over South Africa in ODI cricket, particularly when facing their fierce challenge at Raipur T20Is. T20I cricket allows momentum shifts rapidly.
As India and South Africa play their fifth and final T20I of their series in Ahmedabad, both teams will attempt to close it out with a win despite heavy smog conditions that threaten to derail proceedings. Between them they have played 31 T20I matches with 18 victories for India against 12 for South Africa in T20I matches played between them.
Indian T20I squad features Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy – widely considered one of the world’s premier T20I bowling attacks – amongst its ranks while South African’s Proteas have chosen experienced players Aiden Markram and David Miller while youngster Lungi Ngidi and Anrich Nortje will also play important roles.

4. T20I – Ahmedabad
