QB Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes, who holds all-time winning quarterback status for the Chiefs, is on pace to set new NFL records with more yards and touchdown passes over his seven season career so far. As Super Bowl MVP in 2018, Mahomes led all NFL quarterbacks with 50 scoring passes in one full season as a starter; equalling Tom Brady as most scoring passer ever seen since modernization of football was invented.
Mahomes holds the franchise record for postseason game starts, having participated in 18 career postseason contests over his 18 year career as quarterback of this franchise. In those 18 games he has posted an unblemished 15-3 record, setting new team marks in passing yards (5,135), completions (456), attempts (672), and passer rating (105.68) during postseason play.
Mahomes led the Chiefs to 19 fourth-quarter and overtime points against Buffalo Bills during an AFC Divisional Round game, including game-winner Field Goal in overtime – this marked their most ever in an NFL playoff game ever and tied them for most comeback wins by any franchise in history.

WR Xavier Worthy
Kansas City selected second-year wide receiver Kendall Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and he has proven an invaluable addition this season. Receiving 60 receptions for 760 yards and nine touchdowns while returning 15 punts for 146 yards. Being speedy allows Worthy to create open passes without taking away coverage and make difficult catches look effortless.
Worthy played an instrumental role in keeping Kansas City within striking distance of Los Angeles during the first half, catching three of his team’s initial four passes. Unfortunately, however, due to a shoulder injury sustained shortly before the two-minute warning he was forced out.
Kansas City fell to Los Angeles following Worthy’s absence as they made a late comeback drive that brought them within six points with less than three minutes remaining but were ultimately unsuccessful in mounting any kind of comeback attempt. Instead, Justin Herbert of the Chargers scored on their next series with an unassisted 19-yard scramble, ending what had otherwise been an exciting game for Kansas City.
RB Kareem Hunt
Hunt stepped up his game during the second quarter, running seven times for 77 yards on seven rushes and finding the end zone once on a 37-yard touchdown run to put Kansas City within one point. Unfortunately, two-point conversion attempt failed due to fumbling by Hunt and allowed Los Angeles Chargers to maintain their lead.
Kansas City attempted a comeback on their final drive, but due to several costly miscues and Los Angeles running back Justin Herbert’s rushing game it proved nearly impossible for them. Furthermore, this 29-year-old holds an NFL playoffs franchise record with 77 receptions while also sharing most touchdown receptions among Super Bowl appearances with fellow Pro Football Hall of Fame wideout Jerry Rice.
Kelce has not only become a legendary footballer but has also earned himself an impeccable business career. Partnering with numerous companies and making guest appearances on reality and scripted television, as well as starting up a podcast featuring both himself and brother Jason covering everything from sports to popular culture topics.
With Kelce’s contract coming to an end at the end of 2018, Kansas City Chiefs may look for another tight end via free agency or the draft. Hill caught seven passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns against the Chargers during his debut as a Chief, helping Kansas City overcome an 18-point deficit to complete their largest comeback ever in franchise history and gain victory by 21 points. This was their first season series sweep since 2003 – their last game held in San Diego before moving on to Los Angeles.
