After India’s lackluster performance against Australia in the first ODI, KL Rahul’s position has come into question.

KKR: Ajinkya Rahane (c), Rinku Singh
Rinku Singh may be promoted up the batting order in future matches to give him more deliveries to hit. After struggling at No. 8, Rinku managed an unbeaten 38 from 19 balls against Lucknow Super Giants to keep KKR within striking distance for playoff qualification.
At 162/3 in 13 overs, KKR were in full control of the game. But an unexpected middle-order collapse caused by Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer being dismissed consecutively and an inability from Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Andre Russell to produce big scores resulted in them losing control.
