Patrick Lavon Mahomes II is an American football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). Mahomes began playing professionally after replacing an injured Alex Smith as their starting quarterback during his rookie season, leading them to three consecutive AFC West titles while being named 2022 NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
